Gluten Allergy

Do You Have A Gluten Allergy?

There are many things that can make us feel blah and down on a daily basis. If depression is not the problem, it could be that something physical is going on. Though depression is more common then people think, it is not always the reason someone has problems with energy levels. On the other hand, this problem does not necessarily mean something horrible is wrong. More than likely, there is a simple condition that someone has that can be treated rather easily. Something as simple as a gluten allergy can make life hard, but it does not have to be that way.

There are a lot of people who live with a gluten allergy every day, and they have no idea what is going on. They are probably a bit tired, and they also have some very unusual digestive problems. Most have what they think of as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), but in reality it is the food they are putting in their body rather than a different medical condition. They may feel bloated, crampy, and have to rush to the bathroom a few times a day. That is no way to live, but it is easy to solve.

A gluten allergy means that any food containing wheat protein is going to upset the body. All allergies are the result of some sort of protein, so that explains why wheat is a problem. Though you may not think of wheat as a source of protein, it is in there. The gluten allergy will act up when someone has any foods with those wheat proteins included. Staying away from those foods can go a long way towards keeping the symptoms at bay, and can even stop them all together.

If you think you may have a gluten allergy, go in and see your doctor. It might only take a change in diet to turn your energy and symptoms around. In fact, if you start the diet and you feel better within a few days, you know you have found the problem. The gluten allergy diet can be rather hard to follow, but it is much easier to live with than the side effects of ingesting the wheat proteins. You may have to give up some things that you love, but you will also find that there are some replacement products on the market just for people like you. That can make following the eating plan so much easier to do.
